The White House has responded to a question on Identity Theft on the White House Website. A visitor questioned the number of victims of Identity Theft that had been quoted earlier. "One in eight have already been victimized."
Also, another question was answered regarding the steps the White House is taking to increase the penalties for Identity Theft.
