California Identity Theft Safeguards Inadequate--WSJ
Another FIRST for California. Aren't we lucky!
A few notes from the article:
"California is the only state believed to have over One Million victims of Identity Theft last year."
"Only 11% of the cases statewide are solved."
It really makes you wonder how many millions of victims have not been reported in other states, where there isn't the same level of reporting, and how many are victims and don't know it yet!
Other points noted:Five of the nation's top 15 regions for identity fraud reports were from California.One in 10 victims last year were from California
Wow! So, who is Number Two?
